I'm writing a blog post to simply catch up and spill the tea. It has been awhile that I posted! In part, this was mostly due to sheer exhaustion from the global pandemic. At the beginning, I found myself working (let's just say... alot...) at my regular job.
Not sure what we were dealing with, I felt paranoid, sad, and unsettled. I felt that I wasn't protected (this was before vaccinations were available), and lacked a sense of safety in my daily life. As many of us were staying home, I engaged and interacted with 100+ individuals daily. As things started to "level" out, my mind and body did not. I was suffering from anxiety, and felt disconnected from my purpose. I vowed to myself I would work less, and spend more time with plants, in nature. I surprised myself when I followed through with these actions.
Thankfully, during this period, I was able to focus more on my herbal studies, and allow my nervous system to reset. I also moved house twice, got a car, and moved towards some stability. (I'm a gemini, am I ever stable?) It was an exercise in learning to trust my own instincts. I had to say no to "money", and instead welcome the wealth of health, and abundance in other forms. On a whim, I decided to take on a new plan of action. It had been over 10 years since I had been in university and I bit the bullet and quite honestly- randomly applied to Mount Royal University to become a registered massage therapist. I'm now in semester 2/6 and I have to say University is extremely compelling. I feel very much wrapped up in my daily activities in the best way- although SOMETIMES I just want to be on a beach in Costa Rica, travelling the rich hillside of Nepal, or eating something delicious in Chiang Mai.
All in all, what a wild two years we have experienced. Oracle of Delphi has been an incredible project for me to focus on during this time.
I hope to post more blogs in the future and use this as more of a journal/ diary full of information about the body and herbs I find along the way. I am very much looking forward to more magic and potions this year than ever before. Stay dreamy, Melody Joy
